  • Non-Returnable Items
    Due to their perishable nature, cakes and freshly baked goods cannot be returned once they have left our premises. Customers do not have a cooling-off right for these items under UK consumer law.
    •     All standard cake orders are final sale upon dispatch.
    •     Custom-made or personalised cakes follow the same non-returnable rule.

     

    Exceptions and Remedies
    If a cake arrives damaged, spoiled, or significantly not as described, customers are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Remedies include repair, replacement, or refund, at our discretion.
    1.     Notify us within 24 hours of delivery by email or phone.
    2.     Provide clear photographs or videos upon unboxing (recommended) showing the packaging and the cake’s condition.
    3.     Await our confirmation, after which we will arrange either a replacement or full refund.

     

    Customer Responsibilities
    Customers must ensure accurate delivery details and be available for prompt collection to maintain cake quality. Failure to collect within Royal Mail’s holding period may render the cake out of our control.
    •     Provide a valid shipping address and contact number.
    •     Track the package using provided Royal Mail tracking information.
    •     Collect or arrange re-delivery before Royal Mail returns the parcel to sender.

     

    Shipping Requirements
    We use Royal Mail’s Tracked 24 service as a baseline to minimise transit time. All orders are packaged with thermal insulation and marked perishable. Shipping enhancements are available at checkout.
    •     Standard service: Royal Mail Tracked 24 with “PERISHABLE” labelling.
    •     Optional upgrades: Next-day delivery, weekend drop-off, or signature on delivery.
    •     Insurance and compensation add-ons for high-value or bespoke orders.
